Loved The Outdoors And Animals And Was Dedicated To Her Family And Friends

Suzie Vinson, 77, of the Powell’s Crossroads community of Marion County, died unexpectedly on November 18, 2021. 

She grew up in South Pittsburg and graduated from South Pittsburg High School. She was a retiree from IBM and later worked alongside her husband at the Vinson Village Body Shop in Chattanooga. Suzie was noted by many to be dedicated and diligent in all that she strived to do.

Suzie was a member of the Sulfur Springs United Methodist Church. She was known as a loving, generous lady. She was attentive to many including her family and friends. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed her garden and flowers.

Suzie was always an animal lover and actively participated in the Marion Animal Resource Connection.  She was personally responsible for rescuing many animals and securing loving homes for them.

Those loved ones preceding her in death are her husband, Bill “Peewee” Vinson, and her parents, Tom and Pearl Rogers.

The following mourn the loss of such a remarkable woman:  her sisters, Alice Rogers of Dunlap, TN,  June (Johnny) Grimes of Jasper, brother-in-law, Dickey (Barbara) Vinson,  Bridgeport, AL, sisters-in-law, Linda Roberson, Soddy Daisy and Carolyn Randle, Chattanooga; nieces, Lindsay  (Brent) Horton of Pequea, PA,  Lauren King, Jasper,  Alicia (Joe) Taylor, Bridgeport; nephews, Kevin (Sheridan) Vinson, Bridgeport;  Wesley (Tammy) Roberson, Soddy Daisy;  Denny (Kim) Randle, and Shane (April) Randle both of Chattanooga.  Grandnephews, Will King of Jasper, Asher and Beckett Horton of PA.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Nov. 28, at 2 p.m. CST in the chapel of Rogers Funeral Home with Pastor Brenda Woods officiating.

Interment will follow at Rocky Springs Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, Nov. 28, from 12-2 p.m. CST at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.
