Jerewanda “Jiggs” Mullinax passed away in her home on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at the age of 93.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gene Mullinax; parents, Chance and Bays Holcomb; and sister, Rebecca Wilson.
She is survived by her children, Sheryn (Karl) Bischofberger, of Ocoee, Tn. and Mike (Dianne) Stewart, of Cleveland; step-daughter, Pam Mullinax, of Cleveland; grandson, Mick (Angie) Vaughn, of Kingston, Tn.; great grandson and US Navy E5, Kyle (Ashley) Vaughn, of Jacksonville, NC; one great-great-granddaughter, Sammi Craig, of Jacksonville, NC; sisters, LaQuita Bowman, of Cleveland and Jennifer Holcomb, of Chattanooga; adopted daughter, Nancy Baskette, of Benton; numerous nieces and nephews; and special Cleveland friends, Lillian Gaines, Eva, Larry and KC Wright.
She retired as a social worker in Bradley County at the age of 79. Jiggs was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 2598 Auxiliary, the Harry S. Thurman Club and a member of the Democratic Party of Bradley County.
She was a parishioner of St. Therese of Lisieux in Cleveland.
The family would like to thank the staff of 2-North at Tennova Hospital and the Kindred Hospice of Cleveland for their care and compassion for our mother and sister in her transitioning.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no service or memorial.
