The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints Is Growing In Chattanooga

  • Thursday, November 4, 2021
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is growing in the greater Chattanooga area.  With about 4,000 members locally, 55,000 in Tennessee and nearly 17 million worldwide, the Church invites everyone to learn more about its core beliefs.

Officials said, "We believe everyone is a child of God. God has a plan. Life has a purpose.  We believe that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son (John 3:16). Jesus Christ is the Savior and Redeemer of the world.  He overcame death and sin.  Because of Him, we might have joy.

"More than 54,000 missionaries serve across the globe in 399 missions around the world to share the good news and glad tidings of Jesus Christ.  We invite all to come unto Him.  We declare that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love each of us, one by one.
They know us by name.  They want us to return home.

"Genealogy is important. We believe families can be together forever after this life. We have 5,198 family history centers.  These centers are in 145 countries around the world. Chattanooga’s family history center is located at 3067 Ooltewah Ringgold Road.

"The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints also provides humanitarian relief in 142 countries because we believe that we are all brothers and sisters.  We are more alike than different.

"We celebrate the life, grace and infinite Atonement of Jesus.  We believe in His word, in the Holy Bible, the Book of Mormon, prophets and apostles.  Anyone can learn more about us at https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/comeuntochrist/believe.

“All our beliefs center on Jesus Christ (lds.org).  He lives. And you can share in His life and Resurrection.  Our chapels are open.  Everyone is welcome."
