Nathan Lewis Parks, 58, of Nashville, TN, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.  Nathan was born in Long Beach, CA on January 3, 1963 to the parents of Robert Lewis and Patsy Ann (Gillespie) Parks. 

Nathan joined Harris Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, Chattanooga, TN at an early age where he worshipped with his family, and later united with Watson Grove Baptist Church, Nashville, TN.  

In 1981, he graduated from Brainerd High School, Chattanooga, TN where he played on the basketball and baseball team.  He attended Tusculum College for two (2) years in Greenville, TN, and then transferred to Tennessee State University, Nashville, TN. 

Nathan was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.  His baby sister, Vivian, gave him the name Google or Youtube it.  He was a hard worker and loved life, he did not meet any strangers.  Nathan was the life of the party, and he kept you laughing, and he will surely be missed. 

Nathan retired from United Parcel Service, and was employed by R and L Carrier Service. 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and twin brother, Nathaniel L. Parks, Sr. 

He leaves to rejoice in the memory of his life, his wife, Yvette Parks; sons, Qutavius and Navonte Parks; daughter, Takiya Parks; parents, Robert & Patsy Parks; sisters, Valerie Jennings and Vivian (Ralph) Kimbell: sisters-in law, Prescilla Dupree and Patricia Young: brothers-in-law, Thomas Vance, Jr. and Darryl (Doris) Young; three grandchildren, Ansley, Amaree, and Julian: special friends; Eddie Butler, Rufus Hicks, Theodore Lindsey, Charles Law, Minister Ken Lloyd, Greg Robinson, and a host of other relatives and friends. 

Public viewing will be held from 2-5 p.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at the funeral home. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 6, 2022, followed by a noon funeral service at Highland Hills Funeral Home, 2422 Brick Church Pike, Nashville, TN  37207 (615)650-5555.

Interment: Greenwood North, Nashville, TN
