James “Jaime” Robert Davies, Jr., 36, of East Ridge, passed away on December 6, 2021, at a local hospital.
Jaime was a lifelong resident of East Ridge. He was a 2005 graduate of East Ridge High School where he excelled in football. He was recognized as All County as a freshman and he was named MVP. Jaime was good at anything he put his mind to. He was known for his love of palm trees and his yard was full of them. He also loved to play the drums. He won a drum-off hosted by Rhythm and Brews in Chattanooga. Jaime had a wonderful sense of humor and he loved his family dearly.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Joyce Highfield; uncle, Ronnie Highfield; and aunt, Patty Simpson.
Survivors include his parents, James Robert Davies, Sr. and Karen Davies; two brothers, Matt (Christian) Davies and Sam (Loni) Davies; maternal grandfather, James Highfield; paternal grandfather, Woodrow Davies; paternal grandmother, Jane McNeese; four nephews; one niece; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Friday, Dec. 10, from 4-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 11, at 11 a.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Pastor Daniel Beard officiating.
Interment will follow in the Lafayette City Cemetery.
