Snyder, Betty Jo (Cleveland)

Betty Jo Snyder, 83, of Cleveland, passed away on December 5, 2021. She was born on Aug. 12, 1938 to the late Joseph and Laura Daffron in the Mt. Carmel/Red Clay Community of Bradley County. Betty was a lifelong resident of Cleveland and Bradley counties. She worked for more than 50 years with M.C. Headrick Markets, Red Food Stores and Bi-Lo Grocery Stores. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her.

In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Snyder; grandson, Noble Chanler Snyder; and siblings, J.L. Daffron, William Daffron, Robert Daffron and Francis Scoggins.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son, Wesley B. Snyder, Jr.; grandson, Seth Wesley Snyder; and great-grandson, Beau W. Snyder. She also leaves behind her sister, Lois D. James, with whom she was very close and lived with for nearly 20 years.

A celebration of Betty’s life will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 9 at Companion Funeral Home.
