Hamilton County Has 4 New COVID Deaths, 92 New Cases; Tennessee Has 1,143 New Cases, 4 More COVID Deaths

Hamilton County reported 92 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, with 59 patients hospitalized and 15 in Intensive Care Units. Ten others were in the hospital with suspected COVID. Of those hospitalized, 28 are county residents.

The new total of cases in Hamilton County is 39,504.

There were four deaths from the virus in the county reported since Friday, bringing the total to 434.  

The number of those who have recovered from coronavirus in Hamilton County is 37,795, which is 96 percent, and there are 1,275 active cases. 

The number of coronavirus cases in Tennessee is at 758,561 on Monday with 1,143 new cases. There have been four more deaths from the virus, for a total of 10,937, state Health Department officials said.

The state currently has 1,091 people hospitalized from the virus, 16 fewer than Sunday.

Testing numbers are above 6.618 million across the state. 

The number of people who have recovered from coronavirus in Tennessee is 724,031, 95 percent.

Polk County: 1,676 cases, up 9; 21 deaths

Rhea County: 4,066 cases, up 6; 68 deaths

Sequatchie County: 1,502 cases, up 2; 26 deaths

Knox County: 44,168 cases, up 221; 550 deaths, up 2

Davidson County: 79,542 cases, up 364; 811 deaths, up 2

Shelby County: 85,474 cases, up 382; 1,432 deaths
