Central High Alumni Selling Bricks To Raise Scholarship Money

  • Tuesday, February 16, 2021

Last year the Chattanooga Central High School Alumni Association was able to distribute $30,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors. "Not many other public high school alumni associations can boast of that," officials said.

Now, the association is selling engraved commemorative bricks to raise money for future scholarships and other school endeavors.

Contributors will be able fund current and future Purple Pounders and establish a lasting physical legacy on the campus. Bricks can be bought in honor, celebration or recognition for upcoming/recent graduates, birthdays, retirements, or to simply give back to their Alma Mater.

Online donors can choose between a 4"8" ($65) or 8"x8" ($100) brick and customize the text. Donors will then be directed to pay either online via PayPal or check. Contributions are considered 501(c)(3) tax deductible gifts.

The bricks will be shipped to the school, where they will be placed around campus (exact location dependent on the volume of orders).

"Please share this with all your fellow Purple Pounders and supporters," officials said.
