Hamilton County Criminal Court Clerk Vince Dean announced that his Chief of Staff Brad Tucker has completed the County Officials Certificate Training Program (COCTP), and has achieved the designation of Certified Public Administrator. CTAS, The County Technical Assistance System, a branch of the University of Tennessee, offered the program and conducted all of the classes.
The COCTP is designed to provide specialized, technical and managerial training to elected officials and their employees in order to help them run their office more effectively.
It also offers a comprehensive review of county government. CTAS believes that a broader understanding of the mechanics of county government will afford COCTP graduates a better knowledge of the county as an entity, which will help them to better serve their constituency. Graduates of COCTP obtain a thorough understanding of county government and be designated with the title of Certified Public Administrator.
“I am very proud of Brad,” Mr. Dean said. “He has worked very hard to obtain this designation and certification. Many hours of his personal time were devoted to the classes required by CTAS. “He added.
Mr. Tucker is responsible for managing the 60 member staff of the Hamilton County Criminal Court Clerk’s Office and the day to day operations. “This training has provided me with additional tools that have already proven valuable in my position in the Criminal Court Clerk’s Office,” Mr. Tucker said.
