Thanks For Bringing Attention To The Crotch Rocket Problem On Frazier Avenue

  • Friday, February 26, 2021
Thanks to the Chattanoogan.com police blotter for bringing public attention to the crotch rocket problem on Frazier Avenue and on the Veterans Bridge.

I have witnessed this stupidity first-hand, both as a pedestrian and while driving in my car.

My gratitude and respect go out to the Chattanooga Police Department and its officers who are trying to remedy this combination of serious injury to innocent bystanders and motorcycle operator fascination with becoming an organ donor.

I have seen CPD officers over the last few weeks working in this area to deal with the problem.  Police officer resources are a finite commodity.

The behavior reported in the police blotter includes: riding at high rates of speed, riding into oncoming traffic, running red lights and fleeing police officers.

This is happening on a neighborhood street crowded with families, pedestrians, bicycle riders and our neighbors who are simply attempting to legally commute.

Frazier Avenue is not the Pacific Coast Highway nor even Bob Dylan‘s Highway 61; and these reckless and selfish riders will eventually find out that their Geico policy may not cover criminal prosecution defense costs - nor an upgrade to a luxury jail cell (you usually even get a roommate).

Thanks to the Chattanoogan.com and to CPD.

Michael Mallen, attorney who predicts these riders will be apprehended, arrested and might plead guilty.
