Baylor battled back from five-goal halftime deficit to upset Woodward Academy 11-10 in overtime on Senior Night.
Down 8-3 in the third quarter, Nick McKenney's goal with 2:21 remaining in the quarter started a Baylor run of three goals in a 90 second span (Brody Listen at 1:36, Eli Bowen at 0:53) to go into the final quarter down 8-6.
Brody Listen opened the scoring in the fourth with his fifth goal of the night at 9:42.
Trey Mcdonald's first goal of game tied it at 8-8 with 7:07 remaining. Less than a minute later Jack Forrester sprinted end to end and his lefty finish caused the crowd to erupt as Baylor took their first lead of the game with 6:25 minutes to go. Woodward was able to tie the game up less than minute later and took a 10-9 lead on a controversial goal with just 1:48 seconds remaining.
Woodward won the subsequent faceoff and was running out the clock before a timely double-team by Watson Brown and Dacorian Jones-Montgomery allowed Baylor to gain possession with less than a minute remaining. After a shot by Trey McDonald went just wide there was 18 seconds remaining. Brody Listen was able to get his hand free and buried a 16 yard bomb to tie the game up with just 4 seconds on the clock.
Both teams had an offensive possession in the overtime before Trey McDonald scored off a dodge with 2:00 minutes remaining in overtime.
