Hamilton County Has No New COVID Deaths, 54 New Cases; Tennessee Has 1,312 New Cases, 9 More COVID Deaths

Hamilton County reported 54 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday.

The new total of cases in Hamilton County is 40,974.

There were no more deaths from the virus in the county reported since Thursday, leaving the total at 466. 

The number of coronavirus cases in Tennessee is at 782,206 on Saturday with 1,312 new cases. There have been 9 more deaths from the virus, for a total of 11,543, state Health Department officials said.

The state currently has 778 people hospitalized from the virus, 39 fewer than Friday.

Testing numbers are above 6.872 million across the state. 

The number of people who have recovered from coronavirus in Tennessee is 756,793, 97 percent.

Bledsoe County:  2,013 cases, up 1; 10 deaths

Bradley County:  13,067 cases, up 28; 141 deaths

Grundy County: 1,702 cases, up 1; 30 deaths

Marion County: 2,959 cases, up 7; 45 deaths

Meigs County: 1,268 cases, down 1; 23 deaths

Polk County: 1,791 cases, up 4; 22 deaths

Rhea County: 4,155 cases, up 2; 73 deaths

Sequatchie County: 1,575 cases, up 3; 27 deaths

Knox County: 46,447 cases, up 101; 589 deaths

Davidson County: 82,125 cases, up 147; 874 deaths, up 1

Shelby County: 87,879 cases, up 124; 1,517 deaths, up 4
