Georgia Has 52 More Coronavirus Deaths And 1,059 New Cases

Georgia state health officials reported on Saturday there are 52 additional deaths due to the coronavirus. The current total is 16,982.

There are 1,059 new cases, as that total reaches 861,412 confirmed cases of coronavirus. 

Hospitalizations are at 59,650, which is an increase of 80 from Friday.

Here are the numbers by county:

Catoosa County: 5,461 cases, up 10; 61 deaths; 246 hospitalizations, up 2

Chattooga County: 2,196 cases, up 1; 60 deaths; 173 hospitalizations, up 1

Dade County: 1,184 cases, up 1; 11 deaths; 62 hospitalizations

Walker County: 6,307 cases, up 8; 78 deaths; 272 hospitalizations, up 2

Whitfield County: 14,671 cases, up 15; 225 deaths; 729 hospitalizations, up 2
