Hamilton County Has No New Coronavirus Deaths And 66 New Cases; Tennessee Has 7 More Deaths

Hamilton County had 66 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday, bringing the total to 43,253. There have been no more deaths from the virus, and the total remains at 480 in the county. 

The number of those who have recovered from coronavirus in Hamilton County is 42,040, which is 97 percent, and there are 733 active cases.

There are 64 patients hospitalized and 16 in Intensive Care Units. Seven others are in the hospital with suspected COVID. Of those hospitalized, 26 are county residents. 

The number of coronavirus cases in Tennessee is at 826,371 on Tuesday with 1,457 new cases. There have been seven more deaths from the virus, for a total of 12,022, state Health Department officials said.

The state currently has 822 people hospitalized from the virus, which is 15 more than on Monday.

Testing numbers are above 7.391 million across the state.

The number of people who have recovered from coronavirus in Tennessee is 800,957, which is 97 percent.

Bradley County:  14,398 cases, up 56; 147 deaths

Grundy County: 1,769 cases; 31 deaths

Marion County: 3,074 cases, up 1; 46 deaths

Meigs County: 1,331 cases, up 5; 23 deaths

Polk County: 1,972 cases, up 1; 24 deaths

Rhea County: 4,295 cases, up 7; 75 deaths

Sequatchie County: 1,658 cases, up 1; 28 deaths

Knox County: 49,179 cases, up 65; 627 deaths, up 1

Davidson County: 86,974 cases, up 181; 919 deaths

Shelby County: 92,106 cases, up 153; 1,576 deaths, up 1
