Hamilton County Has No More Coronavirus Deaths, 60 New Cases; State Has 8 More Deaths

Hamilton County had 60 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday, bringing the total to 44,066. There have been no more deaths from the virus, and the total remains at 491 in the county.  

The number of those who have recovered from coronavirus in Hamilton County is 42,945, which is 97 percent, and there are 630 active cases.

There are 43 patients hospitalized and 11 in Intensive Care Units. Nine others are in the hospital with suspected COVID. Of those hospitalized, 18 are county residents. 

The number of coronavirus cases in Tennessee is at 845,380 on Wednesday with 1,133 new cases. There have been eight more deaths from the virus, for a total of 12,171, state Health Department officials said.

The state currently has 823 people hospitalized from the virus, which is 45 more than on Tuesday.

Testing numbers are above 7.625 million across the state.

The number of people who have recovered from coronavirus in Tennessee is 820,441, which is 97 percent.

Grundy County: 1,786 cases; 34 deaths

Marion County: 3,116 cases, up 2; 47 deaths

Polk County: 2,040 cases, up 2; 24 deaths

Rhea County: 4,329 cases, up 2; 75 deaths

Sequatchie County: 1,684 cases, up 2; 29 deaths

Knox County: 50,272 cases, up 45; 629 deaths, up 1

Davidson County: 88,839 cases, up 66; 929 deaths

Shelby County: 94,421 cases, up 181; 1,607 deaths
