Bennie Ray Tarvin, Jr., 47, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2021, in a hospital in Cleveland, Tennessee.  

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eddie and Dora Tarvin, Leroy and Zora Clark, Sr.; uncles, Larry Clark and Leroy “Buster” Clark, Jr. 

Survivors include his father, Bennie (Zsa Zsa) Tarvin, Sr. of Chattanooga; mother, Emily Maria Tarvin-Clark of Cleveland, TN; brothers, Bryant Tarvin of Columbus, GA, Joshua Tarvin, Jeremiah Tarvin, Calvin Tarvin, Dan Tarvin, Kevin White, and Eric White, all of Chattanooga; sisters, Amber Tarvin of Houston, TX, Denica Tarvin, Stephanie Tarvin, both of Chattanooga, Jordana Tarvin of Atlanta, Jessica Rashad of Cincinnati, OH, Erica White, and Rosa White, both of Atlanta; uncle, Stephen (Carol) Clark; aunts, Annie (Veesteree) Barnes, Ollie Isom, Patricia Ann Tarvin, and Mary Jo Gilbert, all of Chattanooga; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. 

Bennie will lie in state on Saturday, April 10, from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. 

A family service will follow at 2 p.m. at Sharon Pentecostal Deliverance Church of God with Elder Welford Sydnor as the eulogist. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens.
