John Allen King, 85, of Madison, Mississippi, died peacefully at his home with family by his side on Tuesday, April 6.

John was born and raised in Chattanooga. He was a retired president of Valley Food in Jackson, Ms., and formerly served three years in the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his sisters Judith King, and Barbara Stamps.

He leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Linda, daughter, Andrea Harrison (David), grandchildren, Lauren (Mitch) from Atlanta, and Chase, of Birmingham.
