Charles Coolidge Was An American Hero

  • Thursday, April 8, 2021

We have lost a great Tennessean and an American hero in Charles H. Coolidge.

Growing up near Chattanooga, Charles H. Coolidge was awarded a Bronze Star and a Silver Star, then went on to receive the nation’s highest decoration per valor, the Congregational Medal of Honor.

I have been blessed to serve on the board at the Charles H. Coolidge National Medal of Honor Heritage Center. I was honored to introduce Mr. Coolidge at the grand opening of the National Medal of Honor Heritage Center. I want to encourage everyone to go visit this very special museum. We are so proud to have this is Chattanooga.

Now more than ever, the area of the museum honoring Mr. Coolidge will be more special as we tour the Charles H. Coolidge National Medal of Honor Heritage Center.
