Mary B. Frye, 86, passed away Thursday evening, May 6, 2021, at Life Care Center of Collegedale.

She was a lifelong resident of Cleveland and longtime member Bellefounte Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school.  She enjoyed traveling to Hawaii and also enjoyed going on cruise ships.  She was a great cook.

She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, William “Tob” Frye; brothers, Sylvester Barbrow, Kyle Barbrow, and Millard Barbrow; and sister, Juanita Barnes. 

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Val Frye of Ooltewah; grandson and wife, Denny and Amanda Frye of Cleveland; great-grandson, Bailey Frye of Cleveland; sister, Frances Stewart of Saltville, VA; and several nieces, nephews, and many friends also survive. 

A funeral service will be Monday, May 10, at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Glenn Clowers officiating.  Interment will take place Thursday, May 13, in Elizabeth Cemetery in Saltville, Va. with Minister Tim Surver officiating.     

Her family will receive friends, Monday, May 10, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home, prior to the service.
