Herron, Jane Ellen Heatherly (Rising Fawn)

Jane Ellen Heatherly Herron, 77, of Rising Fawn, passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga.

Janie was born in Maryville. She graduated summa cum laude from the Baroness Erlanger Hospital School of Nursing in 1985 and served as a registered nurse at Blood Assurance until her retirement in 2001. She was a member of the Trenton Church of Christ and a long-time member of Rising Fawn Church of Christ. She was married to General Gene Herron for 53 years until his death in 2019. 

Mrs. Herron was preceded in death by her loving husband and parents, Ed and Edna Heatherly.

Survivors include her children, Missy (Rick) Breeden, of Rising Fawn; Laura Herron, of Flintstone; Lisa Davidson, of Flintstone and Tracy (Macara) Herron, of Higdon, Al.; sisters, Luanne (James) Parker, of Chattanooga and Mary Lynn Shelton, of Signal Mountain; sister-in-law and caregiver, Mae Martin, of Dunlap; several loving grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 9 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Ryan Funeral Home, with Minister Larry Judd officiating, with interment in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
