The Chattanooga-Hamilton County BME District Association will present the 2021 May Congress of Christian Education Monday-Thursday.
The theme is Persevere from Galations 6:9-10, and will feature Pastor E. Lamar Young, MA, moderator; Dr. Jeffrey T. Wilson, vice moderator; Dr. Wesley Davis, Congress president; Dr. Steve Caudle, Congress dean; and Rev. William Washington, assistant dean of Congress.
The Christian Education Seminar will begin at 6 p.m. Monday-Wednesday and the Lecture Series and Worship is at 7 p.m. Monday-Thursday.
It will be presented in-person and live on Facebook at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Todd Lansden, senior pastor, 901 GW Davis Dr. Masks will be required and COVID-19 guidelines will be practiced.
The Christian Education Seminar at 6 p.m. will feature: Monday: Mr. Monty Bruell | Economic Development; Tuesday: Mr. Ronald Elliott | Community Engagement; and Wednesday: Mayor Tim Kelly.
Speeches on perseverance by high school graduates will be Monday: Taylor C. Bowles, Chattanooga School for Arts & Science; Tuesday: Joseph Dockery, III STEM School Chattanooga; and Wednesday: Allissa Hall, Brainerd High School.
Worship and The Word that begins at 7 p.m. will be: Monday, Pastor William McGhee; Tuesday, Pastor Pedro Basden; Wednesday, Rev. Anne Pierre; and Thursday, Pastor Todd Lansden.
