Tree Falls On St. Elmo House During Thursday Night Storm; Resident Trapped Inside Until Freed By Fire Crew

A large tree fell on a house in St. Elmo, trapping the resident inside.

The Chattanooga Fire Department responded to the 4000 block of St. Elmo Avenue at 9:20 p.m.

Crews worked quickly and cut the tree with chainsaws to gain access and remove the resident from the residence.

The resident was not injured.
