Diane Elizabeth Jackson Nelson, 68, of Graysville, passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at her home in Graysville.

She was born in Chattanooga on Dec. 2, 1952, the daughter of the late Paul Jackson and Della (Neal) Jackson. Diane was also preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Nelson; her grandson, Bryce Fugate; her sisters, Alice Burton, Margie Pace and Brenda Jackson; and her brothers, Terry Jackson, Vaden Jackson and Robert Allen Jackson. 

Diane lived in Graysville since 2000 and previously lived in Sale Creek. She was a homemaker and enjoyed birdwatching, drawing, clowns and flowers. Diane was a member of the Wayside Baptist Church. 

She is survived by her two daughters, Dawn Richardson and Casey (Richard) Fugate both of Graysville; her two sons, Robert (Tanya) Nelson of Dayton and Jackie (Stacey) Nelson of Soddy Daisy; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; two sisters, Robbie Bowman and Sheila Jackson both of Dayton; and many nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services for Diane will be held on Friday, June 11, at 5 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Archie Poole officiating. She will be laid to rest at Smith Cemetery in Soddy Daisy.
