Upcoming Street Closings Announced

Here are upcoming street closings:

 

Friday, July 23

 

Mayoral Press Conference


Mayor Tim Kelly will host a press conference on at 9:30 AM in front of City Hall.  E 11th Street will be closed from 9 AM until 10:15 AM between Lindsay Street and Newby Street.

Please use E 10th Street as an alternative route.

 

Patten Square Ribbon Cutting - Patten Parkway

Patten Parkway will be closed from 9 AM until 11:30 PM for the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony celebrating the completion of Patten Square. The ceremony will take place next to the new public art installation 'Radiance' at 10:30 AM. Patten Parkway will remain closed to through traffic as preparations are made for a celebratory block party which begins after Nightfall. 

Nightfall  - Cherry Street / Martin Luther King Blvd / Market Street

Cherry Street will be closed at E MLK Blvd on Friday from 3 PM until 12 Midnight for Nightfall setup. Market Street will be closed from East 8th Street to East 10th Street, and ML King Blvd will be closed from Broad Street to Georgia Avenue from 5:30 PM until 12 midnight. These closures will be in effect each Friday night through September 10, 2021.


Saturday, July 24

 

WestsideEvolves Community Block Party  - Riverfront Parkway

Grove Street will be closed from 10 AM until 7 PM for the WestsideEvolves Community Block Party. Detours will be posted. 

 

The following roads will be closed from 3:30 PM until Midnight:
  • Reggie White Blvd between the Chattanooga Skate Park north entrance and W 20th Street
  • Chestnut Street between W 17th Street and W 19th Street
  • W 19th Street between Reggie White Blvd and Chestnut Street
Street parking will be prohibited on Chestnut Street within the closure on the dates/times listed above. Vehicles left within the closure will be towed at the owner's expense. 


Sunday, July 25

 

Chattanooga Market - Reggie White Blvd

Reggie White Blvd will be closed in front of the First Horizon Pavilion for the Chattanooga Market on Sunday, July 25 from 6 AM until 7 PM.
