McCarroll, Peggy Sue (East Ridge)

Peggy Sue McCarroll, 76, of East Ridge, passed away on July 26, 2021. She was born on March 2, 1945 to the late Julius F. Stoker and Lona Mae Hayes Stoker. Peggy loved her family dearly and her beloved dog, “Diamond.”

In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her son, Steven McCarroll; husband, Jimmy McCarroll; and siblings, George Stoker, Mack Stoker, Lena Lawson, Patsy Stoker, Marie Brown, and Sally Miller.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved niece, Angela Stoker and best friend, Maggie Rogers; siblings, Julilus Stoker (Candace), of Harrison, Pamela Beavers (Mike), of Falling Watter and Wilma Lurie, of Kentucky.

Peggy Sue’s family will receive friends from 3-7 p.m. on Thursday July 29 in the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home, with a service to follow at 7 p.m. She will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery in Chattanooga on Friday July 30 at 2 p.m. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., prior to the graveside on Friday.
