Barbara Ann Rivers
Barbara Ann Rivers, 81, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, July 2, 2021, at her residence.
She attended Howard High School and was a member of New City Fellowship Church.
She was preceded in death by her son, Noland Rivers; parents, Front C., Sr. and Alma Butler Rivers; brother, Front C. Rivers, Jr.; sister, Constance Rivers Shaheed; and aunt, Janette Lovejoy.
Survivors include devoted granddaughter, Nolinda Garner, of Leighton, Al.; grandsons, Trammell Woods, Noland Rivers and Nolandus Sims, all of Chattanooga; five great-grand-children; sisters, Nadine Rivers, of Sahuarita, Az., Patricia Jennings, Lavonia Rivers, Alfreda Smith and Cheryl Jordan, all of Chattanooga; devoted niece, Natasha (Excellent) Character, of Chattanooga; devoted nephew, Kearell Roberts; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives; dear friend, Jane Freuler; and other friends.
Barbara will lie-in-state on Sunday, July 11 from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. at New City Fellowship Church, with Pastor Kevin Smith as the eulogist. Burial on Monday at 10 a.m. in Highland Memorial Gardens.
