Robert Landis Vetter
Robert Landis Vetter, 70, of Ringgold, passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021.
Robert was born on July 7, 1951, in Chattanooga to the late Landis Bernard and Audrey Hardin Vetter. He was a resident of Fort Lauderdale, FL for many years. After marrying his loving wife Anita, they moved back to the Chattanooga/North Georgia area where they raised their girls. He retired as project manager at Callahan Mechanical after over 30 years of service. More than anything he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, who lovingly called him “Epa” or “Pop”. He never missed a moment to be a part of their life.
Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Anita Vetter; daughters, Joy (Carson) Kaeser and Amy (Jim) Hinds; siblings, Vicki (Aaron) Adams, Richard (Colleen) Vetter; grandchildren, Carson Jr., Alden, Cannon, Thomas and Cecily; niece; Destiny and nephew, Brandon.
Robert found great joy during the Christmas season. Gift giving was his love language and he never missed a moment to give to others, especially during Christmas. For many years he helped collect donated bikes to give to children around the Chattanooga area. Often times he did this without the knowledge of even his immediate family because he simply enjoyed sharing the giving spirit of Christmas with others. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Secret Santa of Chattanooga c/o Callahan Mechanical 2811 8th Ave, Chattanooga 37407.
