Hiller Paul "Larry" Larimore
Hiller Paul "Larry" Larimore, 94, of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, passed away on July 20, 2021 in a local health care facility.
He was the adopted son of the late Dr. and Mrs. Hiller P. Larimore of Chattanooga, TN. He was a graduate of McCallie School, Chattanooga, class of 1945. Mr. Larimore won the “Junior Mr. Chattanooga” title in 1949 at the Central Y. He and his late wife Doris enjoyed going to the gym and working out together until her passing in 2017.
He retired from the carpet and flooring industry. He attended First Baptist Church of Lakeview, Rossville.
His parents and his wife Doris Spurgeon Larimore preceded him in death.
His son Larry Larimore and his son’s mother Mary Anne both of Monroe, Ga. survive Mr. Larimore.
Mr. Larimore was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He received the Victory and Asiatic Medals for his military service.
A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Lakeview, 10 Hudson St., Rossville, Ga. on Sunday, Aug. 29, at 2 p.m. with Reverend Patrick Cooper officiating.
