Thomas “Derek” Miller, 41, of Hixson, passed away on August 28, 2021.

 

He was born on Feb. 28, 1980, and was preceded in death by his father Thomas “Tommy” Miller, Step-Father Alfred Barton, and grandparents.

 

Derek is survived by his wife, Lindsey Miller; children, Ella, Brayden, and Jaxon; mother, Phyllis Miller Barton; brother, Robby Miller; nephew, Asa Miller and many more family and friends.

 

Derek worked for Lawson Electric and was a member of IBEW Local 175. He was an amazing husband, father, and son who enjoyed riding motorcycles, boating, camping, and being around the ones he loved.

 

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 2, in the chapel of Hamilton Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Graham officiating.

 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 2, from 1-3 p.m. prior to the funeral service in the chapel.

 

Pallbearers will be Buck Buchannon, Mat Bird, Rod Baker, Jason Layne, Jackie Holder, and Dakota Caylor.

 

Interment will be private at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
