Ortwein Sign Wins Mark Pridmore Excellence In Design Award

  • Wednesday, August 4, 2021

Ortwein Sign won the best overall design award, the Mark Pridmore "Excellence in Design" Award, in the 2021 Mid-South Sign Association Design Contest.

Ortwein Sign had previously won first for "Wall Mounted/Channel Letters" Category in the 2021 Mid-South Sign Association Design Contest, which secured them a spot as finalists for the Mark Pridmore award.

MSSA's conference SignConnexion 2021 was held in Birmingham and attendees of the event voted on the nominations during an evening banquet.

Ortwein Sign's entry this year is a neon lit, blade sign custom built for Greg Wyatt's Vintage Corvette storefront in Summerville.

This is Ortwein Sign's second win for best overall design, after winning for Songbirds in 2017.

"We are so honored to be recognized a second time for our work, especially by our peers at SignConnexion and those in the Mid-South Sign Association," said Colleen Teal, president of Ortwein Sign. "Nestor and our design team truly do a fantastic job for our clients. Thanks to their experience and creativity they routinely design signs that stand out and attract customer's attention for our clients' businesses. We are fortunate to have such a great team."
