Held Long Career With Blue Cross Blue Shield

Keith Allen Burns, 51, of Ooltewah, died at home on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, after a

long battle with cancer.

 

Keith graduated from Ooltewah High School and also attended Covenant College on a full basketball scholarship, then graduated from UTC with a bachelor's degree in Marketing. He was employed by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Chattanooga for many years. He attended Greenwood Baptist Church. He loved his family, loved sports of any kind and was an avid UNC fan.

 

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Doyle and Nannie Burns, maternal

grandparents, JB and Irene Allen, and also his father, Eddie Burns.

 

He is survived by his son, Andrew Burns; mother, Brenda Burns; and sister, Lisa Kelley (Phil);

nephew, Josh Kelley;, and niece, Logan Rimer (Eric); all of the Ooltewah area. Also many cousins, and a dear aunt, Judy McDaniel.

 

Many thanks to all of Keith's family and friends for the prayers, love and all the support that

was shown to Keith and his family during these last few months.

 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mission My Town Care, of Greenwood Baptist

Church, Ooltewah.

 

A celebration of life will be held at Chattanooga Funeral Home- North Chapel, Highway 153 in

Hixson on Wednesday, Sept. 22, at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. 

 

Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until service time.
