McGill, Theodore A. "Ottie" (McDonald)

Theodore A. (Ottie) McGill, 84, passed away suddenly at his home, Tuesday, September 21, 2021. Theodore was a veteran of the United States Air Force and the United States Coast Guard, having served 20 years total for his country. He was recognized while serving in the military on multiple occasions, having received presidential citations, a number of medals and badges, honorably.

He is preceded in death by his father, T.C. (Clifton) McGill; mother, Mary Edna Melton; and brother, John F. McGill (Moose).

He is survived by one brother, James H. McGill (Butter) and sister-in-law, Ailene (Lynn) McGill; along with many very close cousins from the McDonald area. He is also survived by two very close friends, who watched over and took care of him in his final years, self-appointed adopted son, Billy, and Heather Dickson, of McDonald.

The family will receive friends from noon-2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 3 at Serenity of Cleveland Funeral Home. The memorial service will start at 2 p.m., following the visitation in the Chapel of Serenity of Cleveland, and will be officiated by Pastor Jeff Kesley.
