Juliette "Julie" B. Moore, 79, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022, in Chattanooga.

She was born to the late Helen Byars and Harrison Byars, Sr.

Juliette attended Howard High School. She was previously employed by McKee Bakery.

She retired after 24 years as owner/operator of JB Cleaning Services. Juliette was a member of Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church for over 60 years, serving on the Ushers’ Ministry and Chairperson for the Kitchen Ministry.

Juliette was preceded in death by her parents; grandmother, Martha Coleman; sisters, Lucille B. Welch, Carolyn Byars, and Diane Byars Jenkins; brother, Harrison Byars, Jr.; granddaughter, Candace Garrett, great-granddaughter, Zyel Tiana Thomas.

She leaves to cherish precious memories, three daughters, Helen Byars (Frank Usher), Darlene Smith (Devoris Smith), and Debbie Newson; three sons, Vincent Moore (Lisa Warren), Richard Moore, Jr. (Angel Moore), and Malcolm Moore; sisters, Laura Harris, Linda Byars, and Joyce Slaughter; cousin, Larry Armor; grandchildren; Tera Witcher, Brandon Moore, Brian Langford Kisha White, April Moore, Nikia Jones, Alex Moore, Kyle Hubbard, DeAngelo Newsom, Kenneth Jones, Kia Ruffin, Richandra Broadnax, Zachary Moore, and Cidney Moore; 43 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; best friend, Jeanette McShan; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other friends.

Public viewing will be held on Friday, Jan. 21, from 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 22, at Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 1800 North Chamberlain Avenue.

Interment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens East.
