Sherrod "June" Kahn Mason, Jr.
Sherrod Kahn Mason Jr., “June”, 69, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
He was a member of the 1970 graduating class of Howard High School. After graduating he went on to work for Combustion Engineering, where he maintained employment for several years. Sherrod was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lookout Mountain.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherrod K. Mason Sr. and Johnnie Mae Mason; son, Sherrod K. Mason III; brothers, Carl and John Swafford; sister, Doris Gladden; nephew, Clayton L. Mason III.
He is survived by daughters, Tara Mason, of Chattanooga, and Latisha Mason, of Lexington, Ky.; granddaughters, Erris Mason, Madison Wells, and Joyden Mason; grandsons, Anthony Tutt and Jaden Mason; great-grandson, Isaiah Christopher; brothers, Clayton L. Mason, Sr. and Claude Mason, both of Chattanooga, and Cliff Mason, Sr,. of McDonough, Ga.; a devoted and loving friend, Opal Jackson of Chattanooga, and nurse, Alicia Harrison from Amedisys Home Health.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 26, at the funeral home. There will be a private burial later.
