Morning Pointe Senior Living residents across its 36 communities spent time this week honoring the late actress and comedian, Betty White.
Jan 17 marked Betty White's 100th birthday, and though she passed just weeks before her centennial, the Morning Pointe of East Hamilton campus hosted a celebration to remember her legacy and the years she worked to make folks laugh.
A few community partners joined the event and made it one to remember. The local Trader Joe's store donated two dozen red roses to decorate the building with and volunteers from Hospice of Chattanooga brought all sorts of snacks and treats, including a Betty White birthday cake.
Betty White was an icon for many Morning Pointe residents as they grew up watching her. She was a pioneer of early television and a successful woman many looked up to. This day was filled with nostalgia and fond memories of the actress made complete with a Golden Girls marathon.
Morning Pointe of East Hamilton thanks Hospice of Chattanooga for joining their community as residents looked back on the life and accomplishments of Betty White.
