Prueitt, Rhonnie Guy (Benton)

Rhonnie Guy Prueitt, 75, of Benton, passed away on January 20, 2022. He was born on Jan. 29, 1946 in Polk County to the late Spence and Vesta Prueitt. He was a lifelong resident of Polk County and a 43 year employee of Hardwick Stove Company. He loved spending time with his friends and family and most of all his grandchildren. He cherished his family dinners with his “kiddos.”

In addition to his mother and father, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Dana Sue Prueitt and sisters, Lorene Lanning and Jewell Barefield.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his children, Christy Hardin (John) and Chad Prueitt (Deidre); brother, Lowell Prueitt; and special brother-in-law, Bill Barefield (Margaret Price). He is survived by his grandchildren, Tori Harden, Emma Harden, Cambree Prueitt, Jaxson Prueitt, Gunner Prueitt and Wyatt Prueitt. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

A celebration of Rhonnie’s life will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 23 at Benton Station Baptist Church, with visitation from 3 p.m. until the 6 p.m. service. He will be laid to rest at Old Ocoee Cemetery at 1 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 24.
