Christy L. Meadows, 48, of Chattanooga, passed away on January 21, 2022, at a local hospital. 

She was born on Aug. 23, 1973, in Knoxville,to Kyle E. and Clearcy (McGinnis) Johnson. Christy received her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from UTC. She taught at Westside Elementary school in the Catoosa County school system for over 20 years. She attended Calvary Baptist Church of Red Bank. 

Christy is survived by her parents, her beloved husband, Dan Meadows; her children, Gabe and Kylie Shepherd, and Alex Meadows; her siblings, Renee Cole and Kenneth Harrell; and several nieces and nephews. 

A funeral service will be held at Chattanooga Funeral Home East Chapel on Thursday, Jan. 27, at 1 p.m. with Rev. Ron Perry officiating.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Jan. 26, from 4-8 p.m. and from 12 p.m. until service time on Thursday. She will be laid to rest at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
