Jimmye L. Lyles
Jimmye L. Lyles, 88, of Hixson, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022.
She was born in Grove Oak, Al., to the late Chester T. and Lena Price Pope. Jimmye retired from Coors Electronics. She was a longtime member of Delashmitt Road Baptist Church.
Jimmye was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Joseph Lee “Jake” Lyles; a daughter, Vickie Lynn McKinney; sisters, Audrah and Ophelia; niece, Gloria Herrin.
Jimmye is survived by her children, Joey Lyles and Cathy (Wendell) Smith; grandchildren, Weston Smith, Derrick (Kourtney) Smith, Trey (Becca) Smith and Chrystal McKinney; six great-grandchildren, Blake, Brody, and Braylee Smith, Zoey Smith, Millie Smith, and Caleb McKinney; nieces, Jan Giles, Kay Morrison, and Pam Daniel.
The family respectfully request that social distancing, wearing masks, and all CDC measures be followed at the funeral home and cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 29, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Jimmye’s Life will follow at 3 p.m. on Saturday at the North Chapel with Reverend Ronnie Smith officiating. Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made in Jimmye’s name to Delashmitt Road Baptist Church, 4709 Delashmitt Road, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
