Frank McCutchins, Jr.
Frank McCutchins, Jr., age 82, of Trion, Georgia passed away Monday, October 3, 2022, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 31, 1940 in Summerville, Ga. to his late parents, Frank and Margaret Nell Ware McCutchins, Sr.
He was a member of the Baptist faith. He retired from Mt. Vernon Mills after 40 years of employment. He enjoyed working in his yard, loved his green truck, cooking out, going for rides in his car, and the joy of his life was his grandchildren.
He is also preceded in death by his son, Gary Shudon "Don" McCutchins.
Survivors are his loving wife of 58 years, Barbara Echols McCutchins of Trion, Ga.; sons, Garland (Jane) McCutchins of Trion, Ga. and Todd McCutchins of Cartersville, Ga.; daughters, Michelle Harris of LaFayette, Ga. and Charlene Kent of Rome, Ga.; aunt, Aileen McCutchins of Trion, Ga.; brother-in-law, Jimmy Echols, Sr. of Phoenix, Az.; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of cousins, other relatives and special friends.
A homegoing service will be held Thursday, Oct. 6, at 2 p.m. at Second Baptist Church, 65 Church St, Summerville, Ga. 30747, with Pastor Timothy Williamson, eulogist.
His remains will lie in state at the church from noon until the funeral hour.
Interment will be at Allgood Cemetery.
