Honey Alexander
Former Tennessee First Lady Leslee "Honey" Buhler Alexander has died at 77.
The family said the wife of former Tennessee Governor and Senator Lamar Alexander died on Saturday at their home outside Maryville.
The Alexanders were married for 53 years.
Bob and Elizabeth Corker said, “Our hearts go out to Lamar and his family with the loss of Honey. We cherish Honey‘s rich life of service and are grateful that Lamar and Honey have been able to be inseparable since leaving the Senate.”
Senator Marsha Blackburn said, “Chuck and I are deeply saddened to hear of Honey Alexander’s passing.
She was a great champion for children and families, having led the Healthy Children Initiative as First Lady of Tennessee. We join all Tennesseans in praying for Senator Alexander and his family.”
