Chattanooga native Terran “T-RAN” Gilbert was voted South Pittsburg’s new operational manager for the historic Princess Theatre by city commissioners on Monday. T-RAN was requested to apply for the position due to his expertise in live events, creative production, music, marketing and branding.

T-RAN is a graduate of Lee University and a voting member of The Grammys. He has been honored with a proclamation from the city of Nashville, as well as a proclamation and key to city of Chattanooga.

T-RAN said, “I’m so excited to bring life back into the Princess Theatre for the city of South Pittsburg. This theatre truly is a gem in the city's heart that has needed the right person to help her shine, and I am excited to be that person. I look forward to bringing new experiences to South Pittsburg through the Princess and providing a fun, safe environment for neighbors of all ages to enjoy.”

T-RAN said he is eager to make history as the first diverse figure in this role at the Princess Theatre. South Pittsburg city commissioners are excited to have the position filled by someone outside of the city who can bring new opportunities to the area.

T-RAN said he is most excited about connecting to the local community of South Pittsburg and hearing the desires of the citizens on who and what they want to see at the Princess Theatre. On day one, he is already preparing for the city’s annual holiday celebrations like “Trunk or Treat” and “Christmas in The ‘Burg” and anticipates the positive change that he can bring to The Princess and the people of South Pittsburg.
