Anthony "Tony" Madden
Reverend Anthony “Tony” Lee Madden passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022, at the age of 51. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, friend, and pastor to many.
Tony graduated from Smyrna High School in 1989. He later went on to earn his master’s in Biblical Studies from Clark Summit University. Tony surrendered his life to the ministry in 1997 and has served in Green Bay, Wi., Mount Juliet, Tn, and currently served as the associate pastor of Sequoyah Baptist Tabernacle in Hixson. Recently, Tony also enjoyed his work as an account manager with CrisisGo throughout this past year.
He loved the Lord and studying and sharing the Word of God. Tony treasured and adored his wife and son. He also was one of the biggest geeks: loving his Batman, Star Wars, wrestling, University of Tennessee football and his beloved San Francisco 49ers. Tony loved to fish just like his dad, and was always on the hunt for a good fishing hole.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald W. Madden, mother, Patricia Ann Froelich, son, AJ Madden, and foster son, Jeremey Barlow.
Anthony is survived by his wife, of 28 years, Nichole Pendleton Madden, son, Ethan Connor Madden, sisters, Stacie Rawls (fiancé Rusty Harris) and Teri Evans (Frank), and many loving nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
There will be a celebration of life service on Thursday, Dec. 1. Family will receive visitors at 5 p.m. and the service will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Sequoyah Baptist Tabernacle, 8405 Daisy Dallas Road, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
