Kevin Anthony Smith, 60, of LaFayette, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022.

Kevin loved his community and wanted to serve by keeping the streets clean and safe for all. He was a self-proclaimed living historian and extremely knowledgeable of the events of the Civil War. He was a folk artist who had a passion for horses, model trains, guns, and anything related to history.

He is survived by his sister, Terri Norris, and her son, Rick and his family (Kristy, Tyler and Caden) and two other sisters.

A memorial service honoring Kevin will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14, at the LaFayette First United Methodist Church.

Funds have been set up at the LaFayette First UMC and the Bank of LaFayette for those who would like to donate to help with his final expenses.

Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
