Tom James B. Meroney, Jr.
Tom James B. Meroney, Jr., 75, of Hixson, Tennessee, passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side on Monday evening, November 29, 2022.
Tom was an active member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Hixson. He retired from J.C. Towers after several years of employment. He enjoyed working out, and watching Alabama football. Tom’s special friend was Bella who he loved to walk and take care of.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James B. Meroney, Sr., and Mary Meroney; brother, Edward Meroney; sister, Breda Meroney.
Survivors include his loving wife of 22 years Pat McGown Meroney; step-son, Shawn Edmonds; daughter, Jennifer (Nick) Hardwick; grandchildren, Brook Meroney, Jessie Meroney, Seth Underwood, Chris Underwood, and Mackie Underwood; great-grandchildren, Ruby, Ann Jax, Anthony Ryder, Legend Meroney; several nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 6, at 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Grant Stanley officiating.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 6, from 12:30-2:30 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the funeral service in the chapel.
