The railroad crossing in the 10100 block of Apison Pike, near the intersection of Apison Pike and University Drive, will be temporarily closed Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The closure will allow for the railroad to remove the derailed train cars from the area.
Police said, "Please maintain a safe distance from the area and remember that it is against the law to be on the railroad tracks."
