Rudolph Bergeron
Rudolph “Rudy” Bergeron, Jr., 74, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022.
Rudy was born and raised in New Orleans, La., and moved to Harrison, Tn. in 2010. He was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Chattanooga. Rudy was a U.S. Army veteran, serving as a sergeant in the 25th infantry during the Vietnam conflict. He was a master 5th degree black belt in In-Yo-Kai Aiki-Budo, and also loved to target shoot in his spare time. Rudy was an avid Cajun and zydeco dancer who attended weekly dances in New Orleans at Tipitina's as well as many festivals throughout Cajun country.
Rudy was preceded in death by his father, Rudolph Anthony Bergeron, Sr. and his mother, Antoinette Bergeron.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Jane Bergeron; son, Jason (Tracy) Bergeron; daughter, Jennifer (Alex) Woods; brothers, Wayne (Melissa) Bergeron and Philip (Colleen) Bergeron; grandson, Fox Bergeron, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 24, from 10:30 a.m.–noon at St. Stephen Catholic Church, at 7111 Lee Highway, Chattanooga, Tn. 37403. A funeral mass will be held at noon with Father Manuel Perez officiating.
Rudy will be laid to rest in Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Stephen Catholic Church.
