Failure Notice - And Response (2)

  • Thursday, May 26, 2022

As of today, there have been 24 separate acts of gun violence in elementary and secondary schools in the United States.

Since the Columbine shootings in 1999, 311,000 children attending 331 schools have been exposed to gun violence.

In addition, 45,000 people died from gun-related deaths in 2020 (54 percent by suicide and 43 percent homicide).

How about the following (based on the comment section of the Washington Post)?

Let's require potential purchasers of weapons to undergo the same process many women confront in getting an abortion.

When someone goes to buy a gun, establish a 48 hour waiting period, demand both parental permission and a note from his doctor. Have him watch a video on the effects of gun violence as well.

Let's close down all but one gun shop in the state and have him have to travel hundreds of miles and take off from work. He will stay overnight in a strange town.

Make him walk through a gauntlet of people holding pictures of loved ones who were shot to death. Call him a murderer and beg him not to buy a gun.

Good idea. No woman getting an abortion has ever killed a room full of people in seconds.

One is a constitutional right. The other isn't. It doesn't matter how strongly you disagree. That's the fact.

On another note, I can remember when practically every guy driving a truck to school had a gun rack in the rear window with their guns on full display. There were no mass school shootings.

Guns didn't change this. This is a societal problem. If anyone just wants to blame guns, they aren't serious about trying to find a solution to the problem.

Michael V. Woodward, Ph.D. pens a fascinating comparison of violence, death, and destruction, but his statistics are incomplete.  What was Michael V. Woodward, Ph.D. thinking when he omitted statistics about abortionists, the largest murderers of innocent children as he discussed the issues he raised in his letter?

How did Michael V. Woodward, Ph.D. forget that every single day in the USA over 4,000 innocent children are murdered by America’s army of abortionists?  Indeed, how did Michael V. Woodward, Ph.D. leave out of his arguments the over 200,000 innocent Black Lives targeted and murdered just by the Planned Parenthood inner-city abortionists?
