Matthew Joseph Hester, 45, of Chattanooga, passed away unexpectedly June 22, 2022. He was born in Atlanta on Aug. 17, 1976. Matthew graduated from Rhea County High School.
He is survived by mother and father, Patricia Price and David J. Hester (Brenda Gail); maternal grandmother, Mary Price; step-sister, Chevante (Reggie) Johnson; two step-brothers, Christopher Hester and Jeremy (Constance) Nolan; three uncles, Michael Price, Jack Aaron Coggins and Robert Coggins; aunt, Marsha Vick; step-daughter, Sarah Olivia Tufts Wooden; three grandchildren, Braydon Clark, Mayleigh Rose and Marleigh Rayne; stepmother, Linda Hester; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends will meet at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 30 at Lee Cemetery in McDonald for a graveside service officiated by Reverend Joe Brooks. Interment will follow.
