Hermenia E. Bloodworth "Hermie" Coffee
Hermenia E. Bloodworth "Hermie" Coffee, of Ooltewah, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, June 27, 2022.
She was a member of East Lake Baptist Church, Spring Creek Baptist Church and later Chattanooga Valley Church of the Nazarene in Flintstone. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, ceramics, board and card games and attending her children and grandchildren’s sporting events.
Hermie graduated from Rossville High School and the Edmonson School of Business in Chattanooga. She worked at the University of Alabama Hospital to help establish the Diabetic Trust Fund organization. She also worked in management in the home health care services industry for many local agencies.
She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, William (Bill) F. Coffee; parents, Early and Sarah Bloodworth; brother Herman Bloodworth and Hershel Bloodworth.
Survivors include her son, Danny (Diane) Coffee; daughter, Kim (Leigh) Halliwell; grandchildren, Ryan (Misty) Coffee, Zach (Amber) Sanders, Sean Sanders; great-grandchildren, Gaige Coffee, Gunnar Coffee, Brody Sanders, Sawyer Sanders; brothers, Hansel Bloodworth, Harlan Bloodworth; sister, Hazel (Larry) Bloodworth Collins; brother-in-law, Wayne (Cindi) Coffee, several nieces & nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 1, at Spring Creek Baptist Church, 1312 Spring Creek Road, Chattanooga, from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Pastor Jerry Arnold will conduct the service in the church at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
Memorial contributions may be made to Spring Creek Baptist Church, East Ridge, Tn. and/or the American Diabetes Association.
