The Collegedale Police Department’s Round-Table Advisory Committee has almost reached its one year mark. Typically holding meetings each month, the board began in August of 2021 as a “think tank” of individuals with a mission to discuss department and community issues while using an
open group-based decision model.
The committee, a first of its kind for the agency, includes police officers, a city commissioner and members of the community.
August will be the beginning of a new term and the police department is seeking a member of the community who is interested in having a voice in department operations. The requirements for the position are simple. The individual either needs to be a resident of the city of Collegedale or own a business inside the city limits.
If interested, please submit a letter of interest documenting your full name, your state issued ID or driver’s license number, and your residential or business address. Your letter should include a brief description of your background as well as why you are interested in serving in this position. Please e mail letters to Assistant Chief Jamie Heath at jheath@collegedaletn.gov by Wednesday, July 27.
